If you are hunting down the most iconic Japanese classics in Forza Horizon 6, the 1969 Toyota 2000GT should be right at the top of your list. This absolute legend of JDM history is locked behind one of the game's Barn Finds, tucked away in the beautiful Ito region.

Finding it takes a little bit of progression and some precise off-roading, so here is a straightforward breakdown of how to unlock the rumor and exactly where to find the barn.

Unlocking Requirements

You can't just drive straight to the barn from the start of the game. Before the purple search circle appears on your map, you need to trigger the official rumor by hitting a specific milestone in your campaign:

  • Reach the Tourist Level: Keep playing through the main campaign until you unlock the Tourist tier level.

  • Look for the Green Stamp: Once you hit this tier, keep an eye out for a Green Stamp icon on your Horizon map activities. This is the specific rumor event that activates the search area for the 2000GT.

Step-by-Step Spawn Location

Once the rumor is active, a large purple search circle will appear over the northeastern corner of the Ito region. The barn itself is heavily hidden by trees, but you can pinpoint it easily by following these steps:

  1. Head to Northern Ito: Fast travel or drive out to the far northeastern section of the Ito Region. You want to look for the traditional Minka House area as your main landmark.

  2. Spot the Dirt Roads: Open your mini-map and look for the zone caught right between two prominent dirt tracks.

  3. Follow the Beach Path: Drive down the dirt road that cuts south, leading toward the beachfront.

  4. Cut Into the Trees: About midway down this beachfront path, turn slightly north off the main gravel trail. The barn is sitting completely secluded inside a dense pocket of trees.

Claiming Your Prize

When you pull up to the hidden barn doors, a cinematic cutscene will trigger, revealing the dusty, classic lines of the 2000GT.

Once the cutscene wraps up, the car will be sent directly to your garage. Because it has been sitting abandoned, it will take some time for your crew to finish a full restoration process before you can officially customize it and take it out for a spin on the open road. Keep an eye on your in-game notifications for when it's ready!
