Offline Experience & Content

Offline play gives you access to nearly all the core gameplay features, with Drivatars—AI-controlled opponents modeled after real players—replacing live competitors.

  • Single-Player Campaign: Start as a tourist exploring Japan and work your way up to becoming a Horizon Legend. The campaign progression, including major story milestones, is fully playable offline.
  • Core Events: All standard races, PR Stunts such as Speed Traps and Danger Signs, and open-world exploration remain accessible.
  • Car Collection: You can continue collecting, upgrading, and customizing vehicles. Your Collection Journal can also be completed entirely offline.
  • Festival Playlist Rewards: While live services update playlists online, offline players can still access seasonal rewards through alternative in-game methods.

Online-Only Features

Some features are strictly unavailable without an active internet connection:

  • Live Multiplayer: Competitive modes like The Eliminator, Hide & Seek, and PvP races cannot be accessed offline.
  • Community Content: Downloading or sharing user-created liveries, tuning setups, and Event Lab tracks requires online connectivity.
  • Social Spaces: Areas like Daikoku Car Meets won’t display live players when offline.
  • Seasonal Updates: Weekly content, patches, and new Festival Playlist events need an internet connection to download.

Bottom Line

Forza Horizon 6’s offline mode is robust enough for a full solo experience. You can race, explore, collect cars, and complete most progression without being online. However, to enjoy live multiplayer, community content, and seasonal updates, a connection is required.
