Expedition Five is an important turning point for ARC Raiders players preparing for the final voluntary character reset before the Expedition system enters its planned pause. For anyone who has been collecting ARC Raiders BluePrints, materials, weapons, and valuable loot, the final departure is less about simply emptying a stash and more about deciding what still has value for the next character.

The timing also makes ARC Raiders BluePrints worth considering carefully. Some progress will be reset, while selected items, cosmetics, currency, maps, and other rewards can remain available. Expedition Five therefore gives players one last chance to turn their current progress into useful long-term advantages before the system is redesigned.

Understanding the Final Load Stage

The biggest obstacle is Stage 5, known as the Load Stage. Completing it requires a large amount of inventory value across four different categories. Combat Items require 250,000 Coins worth of weapons, ammunition, mods, or traps. Materials require 300,000 Coins worth of base, advanced, or refined materials.

Provisions require another 180,000 Coins in trinkets, Old World valuables, and natural items. Survival Items require 100,000 Coins worth of augments, shields, and medical supplies. Altogether, players need to contribute inventory worth 830,000 Coins.

That number can look intimidating, particularly if your stash contains equipment you still want to use. The important thing is that the game checks the vendor value of qualifying items, so you do not necessarily need to sacrifice your most useful equipment.

Separate Useful Gear From Contribution Items

A practical approach is to divide the stash before making major contributions. Keep weapons, ammunition, medical supplies, and other equipment that you expect to use during your remaining runs. These items still have gameplay value, even if their vendor price is attractive.

Next, identify items that are valuable but replaceable. Extra ammunition, duplicate equipment, spare materials, and unnecessary valuables can often provide a better source of caravan value than items that are difficult to obtain.

The final group should contain low-priority items that you have accumulated without a clear future purpose. These are often the best candidates for the Load Stage because losing them has little impact on your remaining gameplay.

Making the Contribution More Efficient

Community players have discussed crafting large amounts of inexpensive equipment as one way to build contribution value without giving up every important item. Weapon modifications can also be useful when trying to increase the value of eligible equipment.

This strategy does not remove the resource requirements, but it can make the process less painful. Rather than treating every rare item as something that must be handed over, players can use less important crafted equipment to fill some of the required value.

It is also worth checking each category independently. Having enough total inventory value is not enough if one particular category remains below its requirement.

What Carries Into the Next Run

The Expedition Vault is one of the most important parts of the reset system. Players can select up to five items or blueprints to preserve. These choices should focus on things that can provide meaningful value after starting over.

Cosmetics that have already been unlocked remain available, including the Zenith Outfit once its requirements have been satisfied. Earned consecutive buffs also persist through the upcoming pause.

Raw currency and unlocked maps remain as well, giving players a useful foundation after the character reset. However, standard inventory and stash contents are converted into progression rather than simply remaining available.

What Gets Reset

Character level and skill trees do not carry over. Workshop and Bench progress are also reset, along with learned crafting blueprints.

This makes the Vault choices particularly important. A player should think about which five items will actually matter after starting from a lower progression point. An expensive item is not automatically the best choice if it can be replaced quickly.

Useful early-game equipment, difficult-to-replace blueprints, or items that reduce the time needed to rebuild progression can all make more sense than simply choosing the five most expensive things in the stash.

Do Not Ignore Partial Progress

Players who cannot complete their caravan before the Expedition system pauses will not necessarily lose every resource already invested. Partially completed caravans are converted into Ermal Vouchers or Mau Vouchers, depending on faction progression, based on the caravan's value.

That provides some protection against wasted effort, although completing the full Expedition progression remains more rewarding. Finishing all five historical Expeditions can unlock the permanent Zenith Outfit and increase persistent stash capacity to 60 slots, with 12 additional slots gained per completed cycle.

Prepare Before Pulling the Trigger

The best approach is to prepare gradually instead of waiting until the final moment. Continue using valuable equipment while it remains useful, but start separating potential contribution items at the same time.

Once your required categories are close to their targets, you can decide whether completing the departure is worthwhile. If your main objective is preserving long-term progress, the five Vault selections deserve more attention than the temporary value of your current stash.

For players still trying to complete their final preparation, taking time to identify which resources can safely disappear makes the departure much easier. If you prefer to avoid spending too much time rebuilding equipment before the next run, some players may choose to buy ARC Raiders Armors as part of their preparation.
