The real problem is not finding one component; it is needing several while multiple useful projects compete for the same stack.

Why Advanced Electrical Components disappear so fast

These rare refined materials sit in an awkward spot: they are too valuable to casually burn, yet many attractive recipes ask for them. Raider Hatch Keys, Power Rods, Photoelectric Cloaks, higher-tier Combat and Tactical modules, plus workshop progression can all pull from the same supply. Early on, players often craft a shiny optional item, then discover that the next facility upgrade needs the components they just spent. That delay feels much worse than running basic gear for another session.

Best places to farm them consistently

Electrical-tagged areas are still the cleanest starting point. I spend more time checking power infrastructure, research rooms, control spaces, and technology-heavy buildings than chasing every container on the map. The individual drop rate is still RNG, so treat these locations as a route rather than a guaranteed payout. Hit several smaller electrical rooms efficiently, extract, and repeat instead of gambling an entire loadout on one large building.

Recycling is where many players quietly build their reserve. Frequency Modulation Boxes, Spectrometers, Telemetry Transceivers, Power Rods, and unwanted Tactical or Combat Mk. equipment can be more valuable at the bench than in a sale screen. Before recycling, check whether the item is part of your current build. A spare module with the wrong stat profile is usually better converted into progression materials than stored indefinitely.

ARC Probes are the higher-risk option, especially when map conditions increase Probe activity. They can pay out advanced electronics quickly, but they also attract other squads. In a PVE-focused run, I only commit when I have an exit route and enough inventory room. In contested lobbies, arriving late and cleaning up after the first fight is often safer than being the first team to announce its position.

Only after those needs are covered do I spend on specialized combat modules or a Photoelectric Cloak for a particular build. Keeping a small reserve also prevents a bad death from forcing a full farming detour.

For players who are short on time, cheap ARC Items can reduce the pressure to risk every stored component in contested raids, but the better long-term habit is still disciplined recycling and targeted electrical routes. Treat these parts as progression currency, not spare loot, and your late-game crafting will stay far smoother.
