Summer is officially heating up, and so is Diamond Dynasty. San Diego Studio has locked in the details for their upcoming Summer Series developer livestream and content drop, and it's shaping up to be a big one. Mark your calendars for Friday, June 26, 2026, because we are getting a massive injection of new content along with a stream that promises to address some major community talking points.
Here is everything you need to know about the schedule, the new content, and how to snag some free rewards just for tuning in.
Schedule Overview
Make sure you're ready to go this Friday. Here is the exact timeline for how the afternoon will play out:
-
11:00 AM PT / 2:00 PM ET: The developer livestream goes live on Twitch and YouTube.
-
12:00 PM PT / 3:00 PM ET: The brand-new content drop goes live in-game.
-
June 26 – July 1: The exclusive event completion window for the new program. You’ll have a short window to grind this out, so don't wait.
You can catch the live broadcast directly on the official MLB The Show Twitch Channel or MLB The Show YouTube Channel.
What to Expect in the Content Drop
This update is heavily expanding on Diamond Dynasty’s current summer theme, giving us plenty of reasons to jump back into the grind. Here is a breakdown of what's coming:
Revamped Mini Seasons
If you love offline grinding, Mini Seasons is getting a massive overhaul. SDS is refreshing the mode with a completely new quest list, thematic rewards, and upgraded card packs. The best news? They are phasing out the traditional, generic rewards like standard Stubs and base packs in favor of themed season packs. Plus, if you manage to win the championship playoffs, you’ll earn a limited-edition Red Diamond player card.
June Spotlight Drop 3
The third installment of the June Spotlight program officially debuts this Friday. Expect a fresh batch of thematic tasks, new player items to add to your squad, and program packs to rip open.
Brand-New In-Game Event
For the online players, a new multiplayer Event is dropping. You'll need to build your lineup around specific restrictions, but the payoff should be worth it as you grind out wins for new rewards and Event packs.
Stream Rewards & Community Details
This isn't going to be your typical, run-of-the-mill broadcast. SDS has noted that this stream is formatted to act more like a "major update." Crucially, the developers plan to use this time to address community feedback regarding the current state of the game's economy and recent developer adjustments. If you've had thoughts on how the market or progression has felt lately, this will definitely be a stream worth watching.
Tip: Don't forget to link your platform accounts via the MLB The Show Account Dashboard before the stream starts. Twitch Drops will be enabled, meaning you can earn free packs just for watching the developer broadcast or any other creator streaming with drops enabled.
